And I thought tuition was going to be the biggest challenge...
My daughter has been gone since 5:30 a.m. Monday. I'm ready for her to come home now. She will not do so for two weeks. This makes me surprisingly grumpy, and just a teensy bit anxious.
Clearly, she can never, EVER be permitted to leave for college.

Are there Home School universities?
Leaving for college was the best thing that ever happened to me.
How far away is that dreaded day?
I suppose she'll never marry, then, will she? Just as well for her. :)
The solution is simple: send her off to Portland State. You'll always have reason to drop by and pick up a pint of Black Butte Porter that way, and there's a reputable blogger in that fair city who would be happy to look in on her now and again.
William: Dearlordhavemercy, I hope not! All those frat parties and chemistry lab accidents... no thanks. ;)
Ashley: Ironically, me TOO! But of course, her mother is FAR less neurotic than my own was, right? So, she'll want to stay closer to home, right? RIGHT? No? *sigh* In just 3 more years. Ugh.
Bucky: Well, she's officially allowed to date (if she must) when she turns 30. Maybe Auntie Bucky could offer chaperone services?
Vahid: No, no, no... you will have moved up here and started your coffee shop/tequila bar by then. Right? RIGHT?? Although, the incentive of BBP is compelling, I'll admit.
William has the right idea. We have already told LG, we're going to home-college her.
ouch! they leave someday? nooooo.....
