Social observations and ruminations about nothing.

OK, ready? I have proof that outlandish statements BY THEMSELVES do not start quarrels: See the outlandish statement and silly comments in the post below.

People seek conflict. Yes, I know there are countless books by countless people smarter than I about conflict-avoidance and the evils inherent thereto... but I'm just sayin' that people by nature are spoilin' fer fights. Not serious ones mind you... Not with people who are integral to their actual lives, no, those are the conflicts people are all-kinds-of-killing-themselves to avoid; y'know, the conflicts that if people would just face them and deal with them could make people healthier and happier.

Nope. People only want to have show-downs with other people who, if they pull away or turn away or fire back, it just won't matter that much. So they run around the internet creating or contributing drama, or they rage in traffic, or they lambaste the poor barista through the drive-thru window, or whatever.

And really, I just wanna say, "Stop, please."

Honestly, we control ourselves for the most part when we're face to face with each other, but somehow the lack of being in front of a person who "knows" us gives us license to unleash the inner jackass.

Um, no. It doesn't.

I'm just sayin'.

Amen to that sister!!! The "inner jackass" of certain people in blogland is one of the main reasons that "pack of 2" is no longer with us. Sigh. It just sucks that people have to act like effin dumbasses, don't ya think? People skills anyone???? Seriously!

TysGirl: I love your confidence in me, I do; but WOW! do I hate me some politics!! I would absolutely SUCK at being in charge.

Ang: Dammit, I miss you two. Good to see you around, though. Hey, I might get to be your way sometime in November-ish. Don't know details or even if it will happen for sure, but I'll keep you posted, mmmkay?

CK: Awwwww, I love you too. Thanks for just sayin'.

I think it's akin to finding out rank in the pack. Animals like coyotes, dogs, even cats do this.
'Who's the Alpha today?' is pretty much what it comes down to.

Soooo, I don't have a clue what you are talking about. Sounds like some thing I don't want to know about. I have new Avery photos up and in 15 days the boy will be a year old. He will be a big brother in March, ummm that wasn't planned, but Shawna is dealing with it.
