OK, OK, OK.

I give up. Genuine thanks to all of you who sent assistance and good thoughts in the last post, but apparently Blogger won't cooperate with me and let me just password-protect one post, and I'm too lazy to move to Wordpress over just one silly post. However, I'm also cautious... ridiculously so.

There is no secret, no crisis, no gossip. Here's the deal: I wrote something. Like, maybe someday in some universe, even a publishable something. Maybe. Maybe not. But just in case I ever did want to try to get it published, I didn't want to have to fight over whether it was something I had written. And while I trust all of my bloggies, my page is open to people I don't know, people who aren't my bloggies; people who, for all I know, might actually try to publish my maybe-publishable something before I do, and then I'd be really bummed.

I don't like being bummed, so I'm not going to post it. But if any of you (my bloggies) want the first draft, go ahead and email me and I'll fire it off to you.

Thanks again for rallying around my distress call. Y'all are the best!

*wants to comment on how she first said it was "in the mail" and now wants us to email her instead, only is too chicken to do so*

dude, you should totally just use 'invisiotext.' that is where you set the blog to post in the same color as the background screen, and the only way to read it is to physically highlight it using your mouse. this totally would have fooled my publisher.

or you know, email works, too ;)

Bloggy: I NEVER said it was in the mail to anyone but Susie. (I like her best. Besides, she had already emailed me. **Pbthbthbthbthbthb!**) Anyway, check your email. ;)

/\: Yeah, but you HAVE a publisher. You win.

Q: Email back, sent. :)

TG: Then I hope you read your email. ;)

*just watched /brandon\'s "Pubicles" video and swears he could not sound more like David Copperfield if he was put into a tux and flirted with girls on stage while a hanky flew out of his pocket and into a glass in front of a live studio audience (you know, as opposed to dead studio audiences)*

*actually likes David Copperfield and in no way meant any harm and doesn't for a moment believe he tricked women to go with him to some island he owns just to have his way with them*

Well, of course I want to read it! Duh! p.s. It's pretty simple to move to Wordpress...a few clicks and it does most of the work for ya!

Dustin: You say that as if tater tots by themselves could possibly be improved upon?! Heathen!

Packof2: OK, OK... I'll send it right now!

TG: Thanks, you little ray of sunshine, you!

Squirl: Yay! Sent you one back!!

Bloggy: HA! Yeah, that Brandon is magic, I can see how you'd figure that out.

Traci: I know, I know... but I'm just not sufficiently motivated to move yet. Email's in the mail.

Karl: Hi!! Nice to see you, and thanks for the good wishes!

I'm sorry I didn't have any useful advice for you on the password protect front.

Could I please see the draft? Pretty please?

And, if you DO have a recipe for tater tots, I would be all over that like white on rice. I'm running out of foods Buddy will eat...

LOL. Suddenly it's very obvious why reading your draft made me feel all mushy and weepy the other day.
