And you thought I was joking.

Silly, silly bloggies... I never joke about something as lifeless as this blog space has become. I really did take a jillion photos on our trip (over a month ago...), and I really can't post more than 5 at a time. (Thanks Blogger.)

However, this is the final installment. The remainder of the photos not included here are just not worth keeping you on the edges of your seats. (I know you have been.) So with that, I offer you the following pictorial:

This is a blooming Redbud tree in Sequoia National Park:

This is G, camoflaged at the base of one of the sequoias:

Here are B and G, standing somewhat disbelievingly inside a tunnel cut into one of the sequoias that had fallen years ago:

2 minutes earlier or later and we would likely have not seen this guy, recently awakened and ambling down the road. We hung out with him/her for several minutes (from the safety of our vehicle), until he/she finally clambered up the snowbank. It was perhaps the coolest few minutes of the entire adventure:

Here is G at a tournament in Yakima, the very tournament at which his team qualified for the other tournament on May 2,3 & 4 in Spokane. This particular at-bat produced an out-of-the-park, over-the-fence home run which soared into the parking lot and dented the roof of a minivan. (Yes, we offered to pay for the damage; no, the driver did not accept.)

And there it is.

My Spring Vacation... by Eclectic.

I have visions of someday actually writing in this space, but if I were you, I wouldn't hold my breath. Thanks for stopping by anyway.

About this time of year, I'm not surprised. You are pretty much full speed until sometime after early Autumn. From I've seen anyway. No, I’m not stalking you again, I promise. :P
I remember you talking about this time of year with the phrases “sleep-deprived”, “Running around like a chicken with its head cut off”, not to mention “Coffee. NOW.”

(That last one is my favorite mantra, btw.)

I guess what I'm trying to say through my ramblings is this:
We'll be here when you get back. No worries.

Lovely photos, all. I would like to read some writing, but you know me--I'll look at pics any day.

If you use your Flickr account, you can put as many photos as you want in a post. Let me know if you want help!

kat!: NO! You can't quit. Think of the Collective. But bears are awesome, you're right about that.

Mo/Dis: Coffee. NOW! Yep, that's about right. But I am trying to always say please. ;)

Shawkey: Thanks, dearie! And yes, I'd like some help -- thank!!

Dave2: No, no, no.... take PHOTOS!!!

Good thinking about staying in the car for the bear. I probably would have gone out to pet it.

Also, good thing you're not me because I intend to hold my breath for as long as it takes until your blog.

Yay! More pictures! I love the first one! VERY colorful and clear!

Zuhn: Hey don't laugh... I very nearly did get out of the car until my husband reminded me that really? That would be stupid. And PLEASE don't hold your breath, because I don't think my CPR certification is good in Canada. ;)

CK: Thanks! I actually have LOTS more. (I know you'll find that hard to believe.)

Good thing I bet all that money on Team Eclectic for the Little League World series. You're going to make me a rich man! Can I buy you a scotch?

William: I KNOW! That's my kind of vacation. I get bored if I spend too much time on a beach... although, the beach sounds kinda good for a day.

CK: Oh sure... because who doesn't have 4 hours to wait for Flickr to upload?! What? Is my crabby side showing?

Claudia: Welcome! If you've never been to see the sequoias, you really need to plan a trip out there. It's stunning to be in that space with those trees that have been there literally for thousands of years.

IronFist: Absolutely!! I mean, yes please. For me. But not for the baseball players. ;)

I'm with Kat. Besides, holding my breath gives me a headache. How about I just wait anxiously?

The only thing my kid's hit lately has been the other team's batters. Little League just keeps giving and giving and giving.

Well done on the home run denting the mini-van. The boy has power AND accuracy.

Awww, the bear is sooooo cute. We saw a bear when we were up visiting your area. I tried to get a picture but my camera focused on a dirty spot of the window & the little teenage bear got away....BUMMER! You got a GREAT shot...well done E!
Love the flower shot also:)

MW: Nah, you've got more than enough "waiting anxiously" going on right now. How 'bout you drink wine instead? Cheers!

Limpy: Hey, don't worry about it. If they're carrying a bat, they're armed.

Sir: Perhaps... although truthfully, he'd tell you it shocked the crap out of him, so I don't think he was actually aiming for the van. Wait, you KNEW that! Creepy.

Jessica: That has been the thing the kids tell everyone about. It really was very cool. Nice to see you about!

Shelli: It looked so sweet and curious, it's easy to forget how biologically vulnerable humans are by comparison. Maybe you'll get another chance at a bear photo soon???? (hint, hint... lemme know when/if you'll be in the area.)

Um, I haven't done much writing in a while, either. Wait, don't they say that a picture is worth a thousand words??? We've said plenty then, right?

I cracked up when I realized that your first picture was a redbud tree because I just mentioned them in my comment back to you. :-)

Too cool about the bear. I'm glad you guys were safe.

How do you attach pictures that you can only include five per post?

And btw....our trip up to your neck of the woods is going to be a yearly thing now (well now that we've talked Julie into it....since the cabin belongs to her family and all:) Probably July again. Anytime of that month work better for you?
