Things I don't love about summer.
1) Mosquitos. Specifically, mosquito bites, and the high-pitched humming sound they make while strafing past your ears.
2) Sunscreen. Yes, I know it's necessary, but it's a pain applying it to three impatient children several times each day.
3) High utility bills. *sigh* Be grateful I have air conditioning to pay for, yeah... I'm trying.
4) Reduced income due to reduced work schedule. (Although, to be clear, I DO love the reduced work schedule.)
5) Sibling rivalry. Time together is great, until it becomes grating. God love'em.

Hey have you tired the "Fresh Cooling Body Mist Sunblock" by Neutrogena? It's only SPF 30 though and maybe you like higher protection.
But in any event, it's so easy and quick to use because you just aim and spray! Even if they're just running by you, you could tag 'em with some sunblock ;-) Plus it has a nice cooling sensation...hence the name. Heh.
Can you believe that some of the schools around here are already back in session?!?
I seem to remember school starting AFTER Labor Day. Damn, I'm old.
Heat.
Sucks.
Well you know me . . . I love Summer.
But then my kids are all grown. There is good and bad in that, you know? Send em on down to Auntie Nina . . . we would have a blast. Of course I would send em' back in time for school. Which from what I remember it is so busy when school starts and I didn't like that. New teachers and the such. Thinking about it makes me glad mine are grown. Now I am tired.
Love ya! ;)
I hear you. Especially on #5. I've got a set of twins in the mix and they can really go after each other sometimes.
Just stopping by to give you a hug.
((((Eclectic))))
That is all.....carry on!

Hi eclectic! Just wondering if you can come over and give an opinion on my post title "What Would YOU Do?" Hope to hear your take on things.
I'm with ya girlie! School starts here on September 5th and college girl goes back on September 12th. I hate mosquitos and the bickering gets annoying! You sound like you need a hug... (((((eclectic)))))
Sunscreen. I always end up getting a bunch of it in my eyes or mouth... or lucky me... both!
Fortunately, the margarita(s) at the end of a summer day make it all worthwhile.
Leave it to Soozie Q to know of some kind of special lotion.
Hi Eclectic
Amen, Mr. B. Heat DOES suck.
I have a friend (who also has air conditioning and I outwardly dispise him for it, but am secretly jealous) who invested a couple hundred in a good swamp cooler. His electric (not eclectic) bills have dropped dramatically.
And, although I know that everything is vital and important to the world, I see NO REDEEMING QUALITIES about mosquitos and should be wiped out.
add to that 110 degree heat index and rolling brownouts. oy.
Hugs to you, darlin... hang in there. School is just around the corner...
How 'bout other people's kids' sibling rivalry? I want to smack them.
my husband says Mozzi bites are a mixed blessing because the scratching of them is such bliss.....he is, of course, quite mad. I am almost mad because we have no A/C in England, not even in the bank, or the shops and it is very very hot this year. Cheap utility bills though.....I miss A/C. Sweaty is not a good look.
