Halloween

I know, I know... it's the day after, and everyone and their dog is posting photos of their darling offspring dressed in costume. But who am I, really, to break with such a tradition? Accordingly, here ya go.

A Fire-Fighter getting flames on his cheeks:

An Alien, but NOT a Martian:

Avril Lavigne:

Friends of Superman:

And my brush with celebrity:

It was Spooktacular!!

Well DUH, there is a distinct difference between an Alien and a Martian. Sheesh.

I'm afraid I would have to question the skill of a firefighter who had flames on his own cheek.

Happy Yesterween!

Hello, Shari.

Avril looks a little more...NORMAL than usual. :)

packof2 is absolutely correct (and I have the ultimate unbiased opinion).

*wonders how long the non-Martian had to beg mom for those "radiation shield shades"*

Angie: And YOU are sweet... as always! Hey, I need to call you. I think I have a surprise.

Nilbo: Actually, it's a QUARTET of antennae, if you were looking at them. ***prim sniff***

TysGirl: Oh sure, you're all "duh" today... but where were you yesterday when I needed you?!

Scott: Indeed. We told everyone it's because he's the bravest one who always got there first when the flames were highest. Hello. Nice to see you.

Jim: HA! It's funny you say that, because all her friends were telling her the same thing! (And as to your unbiased opinion, thanks!)

Bloggy: Approximately .0000003 seconds. We'd been looking for just such a pair for over 3 weeks when we finally found them. :)

SO cute! Now can I ask the most idiotic question ever? Did "Avril" color her hair for real? That doesn't look like a wig to me.

The "Q" wants to know ;-)

I LOVE the costumes! Flames on the firefighter's cheeks?! Damn. I shoulda thought of that for my own little fireman...

We seriously need to live closer to each other.

I always thought Avril Lavigne was Satan. And thanks to the eyes in that first picture, now I know.

I think it’s a wonderful tradition, especially since few Trick-or-Treaters come into my yuppie neighborhood.

Awwwww!
Since I don't get trick-or-treaters out here, I planned to watch spooky movies and couldn't find anything I hadn't seen before. Would have been more entertained by costumed kids!

Bloggy: *bows* Thankee, sir. But if you had 6 pair at Auntie's house, how come you didn't tell me?!

Asia: Had to get you back for all the Ruben pics!

Shawkey: Don't tell her -- she's all about denying the resemblance right now. Good luck with that, eh? ;)

The Q: No. *sotto voce* We bought "blonde" spray paint at the beauty supply store. Honestly. Whoever heard of such a thing?!!

Mo/Dis: Hee!

Squirl: I'm so GLAD that my little head-bob and punkin-shirt counted as a costume!! I was gonna go all out with a real one, but it was too cold, and too late, and too difficult....

HtGt: Isn't that funny?? And this from a girl who through a total fit when I made her get a pedicure...

Dawn: Thanks, Sweetie!

William: Hey, Avril might be a super-hero... y'never know.

CK: I KNOW!!! When is Not-Quite-Wisconsin moving out here?

Limpy: Feeling a bit "superior" are we? Well, isn't that special?!

Nina: THIS is what I'm sayin'. That was the scariest part of Halloween this year!!

Nick: Want mine? We get more than our fair share, but they are awfully cute... especially the little ones.

Sierra: Hi!! Just say the word and I'll send 'em to you. ;)

Kranki: Coming from the costume Diva, that's high praise. Thanks!!

Matt: Hey, once October hits, it's all just one big holiday season anyway. Like, HalloThanksKwanukahMas or something.

They are Spooktacular, indeed. I must show LG your Avril. We discuss Avril rather a lot around here. The question is: is it OK to listen to songs that have lyrics that include words that we are not allowed to say? (Life was not this complicated back in my day.)
