Portland, OR (Or, the city where I'm about to have the most fun ever)
:::UPDATE::: Portland was wonderful, the weekend was too short! I can't wait to tell you about how amazing it is to meet other bloggers. I'm home, I'm back to work, and I'm getting a cold. The others who live here already have it, and as a welcome home gift, they've shared with me. They're generous like that. When I'm not too tired or up against a bizzare schedule (figuring out how to accommodate children who are home from school sick), I'll post the details. But now, I have to sneeze and maybe take a nap.
It's finally here! In just 3 days I will be driving to Portland to meet a lot of bloggers I've never met before. I'm SO excited about this!!
First, there's Sooze, whom I've "known" online now for over a year and a half, and have wanted to meet in person forever. Then there's Shelly and Angie, whom I met through Sooze, who are some of the most genuine people I know (for being people I don't know). As a bonus, I'll also get to meet people who aren't currently on my blogroll, like Recovering Straight Girl and Lelo, and I think it's going to be a blast!
And if that's not enough, I also get to attend TequilaCon'07, a little blogger meet-up in its third successive year now that's finally on the west coast. Last year it was in the Big Apple, and the year before it was Chicago, but this year, it's close enough for me to get away. I shall meet Jenny and Jill, whose blogs have been inspirational as well as entertaining to me since the days of my lurking. I almost can't believe my good fortune! Someone pinch me, please? Also, there's a rumor that Mad William may also make an appearance, so I'd get to rub shoulders with one of the northwest's most gifted artists. To quote a country song, "Who wouldn't want to be me?!"

I told Recovering Straight Girl the other day she couldn't get all drunk and tit-grabby (yup, she get's friendly in another kind of way;)with you and Sooz. She was shocked and appalled that I would even accuse her of such behavior. Then I reminded her of the photos that we have as evidence of such behavior. That shut her right up. Don't worry Shari....we'll protect you from RSG.
