Election Day
OK, so people are running for political office, other people are voting for those people, and still other people are analyzing the results, reporting it to more people who, really, just want to watch a TV show. Not me, of course. The television watching that is. Because I'm blogging.
But I voted, and in more than merely political elections today. You see, Heather Anne has created the Hoagie Awards (which, BTW, have a super cool side-bar button which I could display here if I had any friggin' idea how...). Voting is today and tomorrow until 11:59pm EST. The nominees are categorized by Friendliest, Super Best Writing, Cleverest Commenter, Best Blog by a Heather, Hilarious-est, and Should be President. Now, in keeping with the electoral spirit of the day: Go. Vote.*
On a less frivolous note, today is significant for two other reasons of which I'm aware: my son turned 10 years old (Yay!!!! Confetti and balloons, please!); and my friend Nina is undergoing some serious medical tests. I'd appreciate any encouragement and kind thoughts you could send her way.
*(Do it now. You'll get that self-aggrandizing voter's high, AND meet some kickass bloggers who may be new to you.)

Gaaah! I did it!! Now there's a little linky button on the side-bar for your clicking convenience. I have no idea how I did that, but it seems to work so I'm just gonna go with that. :)
Cool deal, E! I will check it out. Figuring out computer stuff can be a pain, but the feeling of accomplishment when it works - awesome! Nothing like taming a cyber-beast, eh?
Happy, Happy Birthday to the cute Little Boy Eclectic!!!! Please pinch his rosy little cheeks for me (unless he hates that)!
I voted for you. :o)
Happy birthday, LBE!

Happy b-day to your son(throws confetti)
loot bags all around
I took a break from giggling over the election results and sent a balloon. Given the wind currents, it should float by around Saturday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LBE!!!
I'm a day late and a (few) dollars short, as usual.
But I did vote yesterday!
Happy Birthday Eclectic Jr!!!
Happy B day to your son. And thanks for the blog recommendations.
