Another Confession
I have no pictures. OK, I have one picture, which I can't post yet because I haven't downloaded it.
Turns out the battery on the camera didn't like cold nights in a tent in the mountains. Go figure. The result: the photos I didn't take on the first day -- thinking I needed to save room on the card for the remainder of the adventure -- were sacrificed for nothing since there was no battery power following the first night.
And before this, you thought I was bright, didn't you?! HA! You've now been disabused of that ridiculous notion, and I don't ever want to have to prove it to you again.
I hope you've learned your lesson.

Even with dead batteries, you're plenty bright :)
And here they claim putting batteries in the fridge extends their life.
NO PICTURES? You realize you're going to HAVE to make it up to us by posting cheesecake photos of yourself and/or Vin Disel...
Does you camera need a winter coat?
You're bright... and shiny, and happy! :)
Rose: Hee! *mwah*
Susie: I may make that my new tagline, Sis. Thank you.
Bloggy: Maybe, but apparently NOT the freezer. *sigh*
Jim: Vin Disel?? HAHAHAHAHAHA!! Tell you what, you take the pictures, and I'll post 'em. ;)
SSNick: Now why didn't I think of that?!
CKelli: Ooooooh, SHI-ney! I like shiny!! Happy Sunday!
I couldn't help but laugh when I read this. I seem to always be have some sort of technological problem or other. That's ok - we're still bright!
Doggone it, no pictures?
Hope the one you did get is postworthy.
Awwwww heck, post it either way!
I would've been soooo bummed. Wait, what am I saying? I am bummed. I was hoping to see your pictures.
I hope you still had a great time!
dead batteries? that sounds familiar....
Eclectic, just bumped into you at Curtis's place. You are freakin' hilarious!!! I laughed until I cried - hell, I think I peed a little. Can I say that on your blog? You crack me right up, girl!
Cameras on trips can be nice but overrated sometimes.
Besides, you did want to get away from everything for a while. The camera was just helping you out. ;o)
Glad you had fun!
Wow, I think I would have learned that lesson too. I would never have thought about all that battery drain problem!
Clearly I am not that bright either:)
Shel
Bright you are. You'll just have to go again with a warm pouch to put your camera. :-)
Yeah, that's great. So have you showered yet or what? Yecchhh.
I'm surprised that Limpy didn't ask to see pictures from your shower ;-)
Lynn: Um, yeah, technology's definitely NOT my strong suit.
SierraBella: I shall -- maybe even later today. Nice to see you!!
Squirl: We did indeed have a fantastic time! Just imagine a conglomeration of all the scenery, wildlife, river, flower and family pictures I've posted in the past, and that about covers it. :)
Kat: I'm sorry I lacked empathy when it was you. Now I know how frustrating it is, I owe you a whole day of empathy.
Lynn: *blushing* You peed?! NOW who needs the shower, huh??!
M/D: Precisely! See? You get it. ;)
Shel: Cool, I think I like being "dull" like you!
Lawbrat: You almost make me wish I were a kangaroo.
Limpy: And shaved! Do I get extra credit?
Sooze: How do you know he didn't? ;) Nah, he didn't.
But I could post it anyway... nah, I couldn't, there aren't any.
I just stopped by to say hi tonight. The battery thing is funny! It's probably a godsend though because after 6 days of not showering...who on earth wants to see that??!!??!! hehehe...
Of all the things to worry about, the last thing I would think of would be dead batteries. I'll give you a pass on this time, but next time, sleep with the camera between your boobs. Can I say boobs on your blog?
All this means is you don't get to be lazy. Paint the pictures for us with words - we're bright and shuny, too - we'll be able to make our own pics in our brains. Hey, I do it all the time.
OK, usually it's not scenery, but still ... I do it.
Don't worry, I never thought you were all that bright :)
BUWAHAHAHAHAHA! Only Zuhn could pull that comment off.
Eclectic, I think you're a fucking genius, so there.
no pictures, darn technology :( hope you had a great. sometimes, memories are way better than pictures anyway :)
What a shame. I sure there were plenty of wonderful sights. We'll just have to use our imaginations.
We could go visit Rose and see Kangaroos. That would be close to being one. Not really, but it sounds good.
