First thing in the morning, nursing a cup of coffee or cocoa depending on your age while awaiting breakfast:

Prowling Chatter Creek for hours:

By special request:

If you get him tired enough, a 7-month-old retriever will even sleep through a drive-by involving other barking dogs:

You know what they say about the family that plays together.

Ok this blog post had me smiling from ear to EAR! I showed the Hubs YOUR picture and LE's picture (because come ON, he is going to marry our Niece) and all he said was "Cool". So either you're cool or LE is cool. But Brizzy's passed out sleeping picture totally made *my* night.
I truly cannot wait to meet you IRL and see your beautiful smile in person. Fear not, I plan to be my dorky, spazzy self which should invoke some sort of laugh to follow said smile :-)
You have a gorgeous, amazing family. But you know that, don't you?
I love the pic of you and Brizzy smiling! It looks like you guys had a great time.
I'm with Lynn--no to the camping. I can handle the sleeping outside part, but the no bathrooms and no showers? Not so much. Give me a Marriott resort . . . now that's my kind of camping!
Twobear: Garden you say? Wow! We may just have to come over like a plague of locusts -- a family of 5 is quite a troupe.
Lynn: Atta girl -- what's not to love? Except for the sleeping outside and no toilets. You crack me up!
Sooze: Oh I can totally tell that he meant BOTH of us -- just by the inflection in his voice. Brizzy has still not fully recovered! His bounce quotient (BQ) is operating at about 40% of normal. Which, actually, is kinda nice for a change. Oregon, here we come!!! (And thanks, I DO know it, most of the time. But it's nice to hear all the same)
Shawkey: Marriott? HA! But we had the whole entire campground to ourselves! That's gotta be worth something, doesn't it? And the sound of the creek to lull us to sleep, and the songs of the birds to usher in the day... *happy sigh* It's alright. You and Lynn can hang at the Marriott. We'll take showers in your suite, and you can have s'mores around our campfire. Deal?
How adorable are all of you?!?! Looks like a fun vacation!
But one question: how is it possible that these are all your children when clearly you're not a day over 26? Dang, woman! What's your secret? ;)
Jen: Trick photography. You'll see at TC'07. I'm really wizened in person.
Well, trick photography AND tequila.
Fabulous! Wonderful pictures my friend.
Oh! I LOVE that! You all look like you're having such a good time! And that little boy of yours! What a cutie!
Awww... that almost makes me want to go camping... almost. ;)
oh, cool! looks like so much fun. i could do for a nap right beside brizzy. doggy pillows are the best kind, you know :)
I'm so not a tent/camping/outdoors person, but it looks like you guys are having fun. Though I must say, I thought photo #2 featured someone peeing in the creek. hehe
I love the photos!
There's nothing more adorable than a sleepy puppy...especially when it means he can't act up and cause trouble.
*snicker*
You guys are wonderful. :o)
Traci: Thank you!! I have more -- I may post some later.
CKelli: We did have the best time! You should come with us next time -- the little clowns would have a blast!!
Dawn: Brizzy thinks he was made specifically to be a pillow for us. But, with all the wet, muddy thing he had going on, I can't say it was even tempting. He's clean now, though, and would love to offer his pillow services!
Bloggy: *gasp* NOT EVER in the creek! In the woods, yes; but fishies live in the creek. We like to fool them with feathers, hurt their little lips and then put them back. But we would NEVER pee on them!
M/D: Not that you'd know anything about puppies causing trouble...! *heh* Brizzy sends wiggles and sniffs to JD and Roscoe.
Looks like a fab time was had by all!
you have a devil dog there--but still a cutie--even with the evil eyes!
LE is so cute in that picture. My favorite is the one of you and Briz.
Can't wait for August!!!!! We're gonna have a blast. Oh....and....Sooz and I are finally gonna see between the two of us who's the biggest dork in Blogland. I'm putting money on me.;)
Angie
I guess the Donner family should have played together more before they went camping.
I love those pictures. You guys look like you're having great fun!
While I like being in nature and taking walks, a Motel 6 is what I consider roughing it.
But they pee on you when you get in the creek. Ya can't pee back? Awe, go ahead!
FIRE.....ONE!
i'm hiking this weekend, assuming the trail hasn't been washed away. it's not quite camping, but a city girl like me takes what she can get.
glad you kids had fun :)
Aw, that looks like so much fun! I haven't been camping since third grade Girl Scouts, so I may be romanticizing it a bit, but -- those photos made it look like a snap. Love the dead-tired dog! Hee.
Big Smile, the pictures are just the best. Looks like a grand time for the E family.
That looks like so much fun. And the puppy is getting so big!
*considers buying a goldfish for target practice*
Lawbrat: Hey girl! Yep, we has a blast! Thanks for stopping by.
Effie: You don't know the half of how evil, either!!!
Angie: We ARE going to have fun, but the "Biggest Dork" contest will have to include me, and I'll probably win just so you know.
Limpy: OMG! Hilarious!!! I was on a conference call when I opened your comment. Tactical error.
Squirl: At least they leave a light on for you... it gets very dark out there in the wilds.
Bloggy: Now, now... simmer down. When the fish start peeing in your house, you can start peeing in theirs. Mmm-kay? ;)
Kat: The trail? Heck, I'm concerned that YOU will wash away! Wear your water wings, eh?
Supine: If you go fairly often, it really is no big deal to pull it off. And that dog has never been so happy (or tired) in his whole life! Hey, that gives me an idea: I'll send him to pull the U-haul for you! Believe me, he has more than enough energy. However, he'll expect dog treats, just so you know.
Nina: It was indeed. Not like Mexico, by any means... but grand in its own way. ;)
Kranki: He is getting big! But he's such a love it's like he's a lap dog. Except when he's wet and muddy. Then he's not so much a lap dog.
Bloggy: Gaaaah! You can't! I already named it, and everyone knows you can't pee on something that has a name.
Awesome! Man there is nothing like exploring a creek for hours....
