Gravity
Supposedly it's a force of attraction between two bodies which is directly proportionate to the product of their masses, and inversely proportionate to the squared distance between them, or something like that. I don't remember all the details from Physics class now; but I know the acceleration rate is 9.8 m/sec/sec... and I know how it feels when two attracted bodies collide.
My pulse quickens upon eye contact with you. Thoughts of you make me dizzy still. And when actual distance between us dwindles, it's nearly impossible not to touch.
I thought it was supposed to tether me to the Earth, not free me.
