Twelfth Night, Epiphany, Bean Day, AND Mr. Eclectic's Birthday!

It's January 6 -- Happy Birthday! I wish I could give you more days like this:

And this:

Although these may not be the very most perfect portraits ever taken, they picture you doing your two most favorite things: 1) fishing, and 2) teaching, especially as "Daddy." I love watching you do what you love to do, and be who you love to be. And I'm consistently amazed -- and delighted -- that you've agreed to do and be with me.

*ahem*
/changing subject slightly

Now, as to the other pressing matter(s) of it being Bean Day and Susie's birthday also; AS WELL AS the Battle for Jelly Bean Brittle, I will say only this:

A time-honored birthday tradition in this house is for the birthday boy/girl to choose what's for dinner. Mr. Eclectic has selected Mexican cuisine. My birthday wish for you, Susie, is that you will be far, far away and upwind from him until your shared birthday is past (or passed... as you wish).

Hells yes for birthdays!

Sorry, I had to say something goofy 'cause that was such a nicely done post. I love being a daddy and it feels good to see I'm not alone.

Happy birthday, Mr. E.! I am honored to share the day with you.

Ahem, eclectic, just beginning to look around blogworld this morning, it seems that while I have asked people to SING to me, mrtl has asked people to FART at me. Something's not right here . . .

The scenery in the first photo was great and with salmon (I assume) as a bonus. Not much better eating than fresh baked salmon. It looked like he was enjoying the daddy teaching as well. For me now it is granddaddy teaching but I love that too.

Happy birthday Mr E! ec

Hochiwawa! Mr. E is hot, you're right Eclectic!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. E!!!

Enjoy your mexican food and make sure the blankets are fully tucked in around you tonight before you let loose in Eclectic's general direction while sleeping.

Personally I'm trying to think of a device that will create an airtight barrier between The Hubs side of the bed/bedding and my side. It's just WRONG when he farts, then rolls over LIFTING the covers with him. GAH!!!

Happy belated bday, love the sunset pics and that puppy? Oh my god, do you want to trade?

I have one, slightly used, mud between the toes, but she would be happy to help with the dish washing..

Oh dear... I've gotten so far behind now that I haven't any ideas how to respond to them all individually. THANK YOU for making the celebration seem much more festive -- I mean, 23 on-line birthday greetings?? He's definitely the only kid at the office who could say THAT this year! Margaritas were swilled, enchiladas were scarfed, candles were lit (and lit, and lit..... *heh*) and a good time was had by all. I'll try to post about the weekend this evening. Gotta go,

~Eclectic
