Monty Python
No, really. He's a python and his name is actually Monty. He belongs to my daughter's 6th Grade Science Class, and he's staying with us during the winter break.
And he's molting.
Nothing says "Happy Holidays" quite like a shedding reptile in the playroom.
Poor little growing snake. I had a mouse around here we could of fed him, but Wobbles killed it and flung it around the basement like it was the best toy ever.
Okay, see, the thing is, I don't get freaked out about seeing snakes if I know that it's coming. I just don't like to be surprised by them. You didn't give me fair warning. No, you didn't! So NOW, I'm like all freaked out about the snake.
Jessica: I KNOW, huh? That's a sucky way to have to grow. Don't tell Wobbles about Monty -- I hate to think what would happen if they got ahold of one another! Imagine the fight over mice!
Jenny: Good call. Actually, the dog thinks Monty's a scooby-snake, er, snack. Not to worry, we're establishing boundaries and digging foxholes and trenches just in case of all-out warfare.
Bloggy: Well, thanks! But it's early yet -- I'm sure you'll hear lots of naughtier things as the day wears on.
Sooze: Snake lotion. Hmmm. Sounds like something a guy would invent... *heh*! Back from the vet -- almost had to leave Brizzy there! My vet is 50-something and totally dog crazy. He was so excited for us, and just couldn't put Briz down. We were there for almost an hour just to get his shots because EVERYONE wanted to hold him. Behold, the power of puppy.
Jim: "(and CANADA)" -- bwhahahaha! And yeah, the 7-inch snakes are pretty much my favorite, but I think they're all kinda awesome.
KillerChee: Tastes just like turkey!
Curtis: Did too.... Did TOO! I said "python" TWICE.
My word verification is cargack ~ strange. I am not fond of snakes, glad he is at your house and not mine. I can't even really look at the picture and not get the willies. I suppose you have to feed it something that is alive. ewwwwwwwww.
Bloggy: Well, the lord helps those who help themselves...
Nina: Hi! No, we don't have to feed it while it's here. The science teacher fed him just before we picked him up, and she said he wouldn't need to eat again until school starts. **whew**
It's like I have been here before...your blog house does look like mine:) Angie said she has been here before...it's my first time. Cool place!!!
Thanks for stopping by & saying hi today!
I agree with Soozie...slap some lotion on that bad boy & whatever you do...keep him away from my 85 yr old Aunt Clara..she is one of those pickers who want to pick dry skin off of others...RUN MONTY RUN:)
Mo/Dis: Do you have some for me to give him? 'Cause I'm fresh out of Spam. ***eeeewwww**
Kylz: If she tries to bring home an Australian spider, THAT's where I'm drawing the line: Non-venomous snakes? OK. Venomous spiders? NOT ok.
Amy: That's a relief -- this Monty could use a friend after his shenanigans yesterday.
Shoshie: You know, candy always conjurs up Sarah's name for me now, too. And celebrating anything can wait -- just be together as much as possible. Thanks for dropping by!
Sharkey: I probably better post some more of the cute to off-set the squeams caused by the snake, eh?
Shelly: Hey! Good to see you here! Thanks for the heads-up -- I'll keep Monty a safe distance from Aunt Clara.
Squirl: Yeah, well try "handling" him out of a hiding spot behind the toy box. **sheesh**
Song: I'd gladly send you this one... just have him back when school starts or else I'm in BIG trouble...!
Pea: Wait till I tell you about Monty's Great Escape -- fortunately, I'm WAYYYYY bigger than he is, so I won! **whew**
I've been waiting for a more . . . um, Christmas-y post to say this , but I guess Monty's photo will have to do. :) (Like Angie/Pack of 2, I wouldn't mind seeing a little of the puppy cuteness.)

I dont mind snakes, but ew the molting.
Hide your puppy! Our eyes are always bigger than our stomachs around the holidays.
That is the single most naughty statement I've heard this morning: "Nothing says "Happy Holidays" quite like a shedding reptile in the playroom."
Well done!
Yah and now the rest of us who don't have a "shedding reptile in the playroom" are going to feel like we're missing OUT this holiday season!
I don't mind snakes at all, but the molting part is kinda gross....can't you rub some lotion on the poor guy or something? Heh.
Snakes (trouser and otherwise)are the coolest things in the WORLD (and Canada). Good on ya for not being squeamish about 'em.
Good luck on the Fuzzball's shots! NOT that you'll need it...I'm sure he won't try to bite the Vet like my spaz.

I did. But mostly 'cause I said 'em all.

Hello, Kranki! I missed you while I was typing, but I'm awfully glad to see you here. He is pretty fascinating.
Does it like SPAM?
It it's really a Monty Python, it would...
*giggles*
I shall introduce my Monty to your Monty. They will be fast friends, I am certain.
Good thing you have the puppy cuteness to offset any discarded snake skin.

Wow, at least you don't have to feed Monty. I can handle being around a snake like that, but I wouldn't want to handle one.
Dammit, I want a snake for christmas. Maybe I should suggest to Kaidin's kindy that they get a python I can babysit.
oh you're a good mommy. no way in hell i'd touch monty. snakes are icky.
