These people are nice and all, but where the hell's my mom?

We picked up Briz (pictured below) in the greater Seattle area last night before returning home from our week in Massachussetts. While in Boston, I had the great fortune to synchronize a margarita (or two, who's counting...) with Romy, on Harvard Square no less! It is hard to describe how you can meet for the first time someone you already know. As beautiful as her writing is, it pales in comparison to her presence. Spending time with her was the highlight of my trip. She has already posted pictures at her place, so go have a look if you're curious. (And you are ALL bloggers, so I KNOW you're curious....!)

Which brings us back to Briz. He spent his first night ever away from his mommy and litter mates, and though he stirred a few times in the night (like three, but who's counting...)he seems in fine spirits today. We are absolutely in LOVE with him, and the feeling appears to be quite mutual. Here he is trying out the 'new' dining facilities.

And with that, I bid you a fond adieu because I MUST get to Costco before they close. Dog bed, groceries, wine, just the bare necessities...

SECOND!!! And it's ok to be second behind Sharkey....um that may or may not sound weird.

Anyway, welcome back Eclectic and welcome to the neighborhood Briz!!!

So any family trips gonna have you heading down this way? We could meet up for 'ritas that would make your bottom lip "disappear" as well!

Sharkey: Can you imagine how much fun Miss Maggie would have with this little fuzzball?! Thanks for checking in!!

Sooze: The Cali trip is in planning stages and believe me, I have EVERY intention of holding you to the bottom-lip compromising promise you just made!

Blogaholic: We did have fun, thanks! He is a sweetie pie, too! Nothin better than puppy-love.

Kranki: I'm toying with the idea of incorporating "Crush You Dog's Head" into my weekly schedule until his head gets too big...!

Mrtl: Cutie indeed!! We're delighted with him. And looking forward to welcoming Frida into your family!! When do we expect her?

Amoeba: What, do you listen for a living or something? So glad you asked!!
We named our darling Sydney early in our marriage to be a living daily reminder of our dream to go to Australia on our 10th anniversary, neglecting to factor the possibility of children into the equation. On our 10th, we did not go to Australia. *ahem* But the ambition is alive and well, so sweet Brisbane (Briz, for short) continues the tradition. We're shooting for the 20th -- wish us luck!

What a great story behind the name Briz.
I'm going to check out Romy's site too.

Welcome back from your trip!

I knew there was a story ;) I'm sure you'll be down under on your 20th :)

M_D: We had a great time! Sounds like you did too, so I'll grill you for the details on Tuesday!

Nina: Isn't he just the best?? Colorado's tentatively on the agenda next summer, but may be sooner if my sister-in-law's parents pass away. Does this mean I'm invited to FC?

Lawbrat: Thanks! Not quite as amusing as your story about your sister's arm, but... I'm glad you liked it!

Amoeba: Wait. Did you just suggest that I'd be going down on my 20th anniversary? Someone call Bucky. She'll love this...

That is such a sweet sweet fluffy face, I love Goldens, they are such amazing wonderful dogs.

(Dont tell Hermione I am over here gushing about your cutie, or she will be slobbin all over to show me she is still cute too, all 100 pounds of her)

Yea, I set that one up for you.

One way or another, you'll be there.

... and of course I had to peek at Romy's blog!
Glad you're back.
I'd like to have some margaritas with you and soozieq when you head down this way too!

JR: Sorry Jess, Hermione and I don't keep secrets from each other. That's just the way we decided our relationship would work best, hope you understand. So if she asks, I'm definitely telling her.

Susie: Deftly side-stepping the Cotillion residue... well done! But yes, I think we'll make it to Australia for our 20th, barring something unforeseen.

SierraB: Alrighty -- it's a date! But if my lips go missing, I'm holding you both responsible.

Squirl: Aw, shucks -- you're making me blush! But honest? I'm glad to be back, too!

Killer: Now see, I wondered which smartass would go there, and I'm just so glad it's you!! That's why we used a "z" instead of an "s". Brizzzzz, NOT Brissss! Besides, the whole chopping of sexual organs comes later, when his behavior becomes so hormonally driven we can't stand him with his balls anymore.

Hey, maybe THAT's the secret to long-lasting relationships between men and women? ;)

Welcome back! Now, what'd ya bring me?

At 5:02 PM, Blogger eclectic said...

Thanks Bloggy! I brought you a tanktop from Harvard Square that says, "HARVARD" across the chest. Where do they get their ideas? So clever! But since it's probably too small for you, and you probably won't want it after I already wore it, I'm keeping it for myself. Sorry. Maybe next time?

Awwwww..he's a door bell (what my nephews used to say instead of 'adorable').

Yay! Fellow greater Seattle area person.

Too small? So what, you're saying I'm fat?!

Does this office chair make me look fat?

What about my hair?

*runs out with hands over head and ass*

Romy: He welcomes you to the family, too. And so does my daughter! She told me she wants you to teach her to speak French when she attends college. Apparently you can leave quite a positive impression in just a few moments, eh?

Jim: Not exactly... we're 2-3 hours east, depending on traffic and the weather over the pass. But, close enough to use SeaTac as our airport of choice...!

Judy: Aw, thanks! And Briz sends Maxie a lick and an ear nibble, too.

Nina: Done! You'll be the first to know when the trip is on.

KMJ: Yep -- he's rumored to be likely to get 75 or 80 pounds. Let's hope so!

Bloggy: You mean, when you walked in, your head and ass WEREN'T covered? By anything?? Wow. And I wasn't even looking... damn!
