Thanks for checking in.

We're sad, but coping. My undying gratitude to all of you for your compassion. It has been a tough stretch these last couple of weeks, but you guys have demonstrated nothing but patience, kindness and love. Thank you. Your loyalty here shall be rewarded with humor, just as soon as I can get a grip. In the meantime, it means so very much to me that you care, and it really does help.

So many hugs. Pets are family. Hope everyone's doing as well as can be expected in your home. Sydney knew nothing but love right to the last minute. That's important.

I second what Lawbrat said AND what Squirl said. I could go on and on, as I tend to be wordy, but I'll just leave it at that. They both said it PERFECTLY

Oh. I am so sorry. I "met" you just after you got the news about Sydney. I popped over from Brando's to be silly, and you had posted about her. Monday is mrtl's "pet" motif. Might be too soon, but just wanted to let you know that if you hadn't seen it. I've lost two good dogs, GOOD DOGS, in recent years. My heart breaks for you. I pray for you and your family; it's going to hurt, I know, there's just no escaping that.

Goodbye, Sydney, good girl.

Take your time, we'll be here for you!

My kids used to sing "She's a good girl" (by Tom Petty) to our Golden Retriever, and it became more poignant after she was put to sleep.

Please add my hugs to all the other hugs you're getting.

Oh I am so sorry for your loss. It has been 2 years since we had to put our sweet golden to rest, he was only 8 and it was a very emotional time.

I hope things are as well as they can be. We waited two years to get Miss Hermione because we felt it was too soon, but now I think maybe we waitied too long. It didnt help us miss him less, and having no doggie love in the house was too hard.

Hugs to you and your family from all of us here.

Oh, Eclectic, I'm so sorry. She was a beautiful girl who was clearly loved. It's so tough to see them go.

Take care, and hugs to you and your family.

Girl, I'm so so sorry about Sydney. You have to feel good about the fact that you gave her the best lovin' a girl could have, and you all truly appreciated her for who she was.
Lots of hugs to you all now.

There's a poem about the Rainbow Bridge that explains it all...if I could find it, I'd post it for you.
You will see her again on the other side, but until then, lots of hugs and the occasional tissue to wipe away your tears.
(((big hug)))

Am glad you're feeling up to coming to other sites and commenting. Hope everyone's holding up okay.

I agree with Squirl (I've seen you commenting on other sites...not mine, but *sniff* that's ok) and I'm glad you're at least "getting out and about".

Hang in there....our thoughts are still with you. Will be for as long as you need them!

I keep reading and re-reading your comments. I wish I could just hug you all in return and let you know how very much your kindness has comforted me the last few days. (Well, that and the tequila, Brando... *wink*)

I've been venturing out in the blogosphere, but just didn't have the will to post much of anything yet. Still, it's heartening to see all of you coming here and leaving love-prints all over the place. Thank you sooo much!

So sorry, sister. . . losing a pet is heartbreaking. I'm sure Sydney's watching from doggie heaven, grateful for the fabulous life and love you gave her and watching over/protecting your family from above. Take care.
