Yes -- that's a
spin casting rod the Littlest Eclectic is using -- but we were visiting some friends at their lake cabin and
he wanted to fish. This rig was all they had. He actually caught a flip-flop. No, that's not a fish, it's a sandal...but oh, he was proud! It was probably 8 or 9 inches long, too. Success is clearly in the eye of the beholder, n'est c'pas?

How adorable. . . you had me going with the flip-flop, till you said sandal. :)
Cest vrai- quite a success. He is adorable!
nanina: I wondered if the possibility of "flip-flop" being a fish would get anyone but me -- thanks for stopping by!!
lawbrat: Great to see you here! Thanks for the compliment--I've seen Brennen's photo, so you obviously know cute!
What a cutie. :-)
squirl: Hey there, Squirly-girl! You snuck in while I was commenting! He is kinda cute, isn't he? *blush*
all i wanna know is if you released the flip-flop?
aaron: Heh! Right back into the hands of the lady in the cabin directly uplake, as a matter of fact! She had lost it reaching for a paddle and it had been floating in the protected dock area all afternoon until LE "hooked" it. You'da thought he'd given her back her engagement ring!
Too bad. If you fillet them just right and wrap them in foil with some lemon and just a hint of onions, they have a delicate, not-too-"sighy" taste. Actually, it's a little rubbery. But no bones!
Nilbo said what I was thinking- but oh so much more eloquently!
What a cutie!
nilbo: Welcome! Next time maybe I'll try the lemon & foil. Although I've always had a personal policy of no rubbers in my mouth...
sierrabella: Nilbo's good with words, and mischievious too, so it's no surprise he stole your line.
LE is so cute it kills me sometimes! Almost as cute as the little guy you posted last week. I swear they're gonna have fun playing together when yours moves to Oregon!
